Winners of the 2025 SFIAR Award

PhD Award: Claude Müller (ETH Zurich) for his dissertation “The Effect of Nutrient Management on Organic Matter and Microorganisms in Soils of Tropical and Temperate Agroecosystems.” His work provides new insights into how soil management practices affect both productivity and sustainability in diverse agroecosystems.

Master’s Thesis Award: Lea Fabritius (ETH Zurich) for her thesis “Social Life Cycle Assessment of Five Coffee Production Case Studies in the South of Minas Gerais, Brazil.” Her research applies social life cycle assessment to coffee value chains, highlighting both challenges and opportunities for improving social outcomes for farmers and workers.
